If you have a complaint about the service that you receive from Alma Medical Centre, please speak to any member of staff and you will be advised how to proceed. We have complaint information forms to complete at the reception. Alternatively you can contact Healthwatch who can provide advice about the complaint.
We aim to treat our patients with respect and courtesy at all times, and ask our patients to treat our staff in a reciprocal manner. If you have any concerns at all, please ask to speak to our practice manager. We take any threatening, abusive or violent behaviour against any of our staff or patients very seriously. If a patient is violent or abusive they will be warned to stop such behaviour, and if they persist or we regard the behaviour as unacceptable, we will exercise our right to take action to have them removed immediately.
We respect your right to privacy at all times and ensure that all your health information is kept confidential and secure. If you wish to speak to a member of the staff in private, please ask - there is an interview room available next to the main reception desk. It is important that your health records are accurate and up-to-date so that those treating you can give you the best possible advice and care. This information is only available to those involved with your care and your consent will be needed before we are able to disclose any of it.
Abusive Behaviour Policy
Due to an increase in aggressive behaviour towards members of our staff.Abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. (i.e. shouting, swearing or being rude) Any patient who acts inappropriately will be removed from the practice list.
